Tidy Home House Cleaning | Nashville, TN

Tidy Home is a residential house cleaning company that I created after graduation. With the support of a business partner and investor with experience in entrepreneurship, I was able to build a brand and functioning service business from the ground up. Through this process I learned more about the business world, customer service and brand management than I could have ever expected. Throughout the months that I was with the company, we grew a customer base, met and exceeded revenue goals and hired 5 full and part-time employees.

I could not quantify or rank the skills that I learned through this endeavor. However, these skills and actions are some that I feel were critical to the business' success:
  • • Developing a brand, including brainstorming, testing, and implementation of this brand on multiple platforms
  • • Building a website that provides a positive user experience and converts prospective customers
  • • Envisioning company standards of ethics and practice that were incorporated into all business functions
  • • Creating strategic marketing materials to fit customer acquisition and revenue goals
  • • Communicating effectively with leads, prospects and customers as a salesperson and business manager
  • • Optimizing a complex schedule to create efficient routes for employees and customers
  • • Screening and hiring employees that fit company standards and values
  • • Generating positive customer experiences that lead to online reviews
  • • Finding and utilizing resources that assist in customer acquisition
